Hi, I’m Megan — Your Backyard Veggie Coach.
I believe there is nothing quite like the taste of a sun-warmed tomato picked straight from the vine, or the satisfaction of walking out to your backyard to gather dinner.
My obsession with food gardening started growing up in the Central Valley of California where the produce is top-tier. Visiting other regions I realized how lucky I was to have grown up in the food-producing capital of the nation and realized how much better homegrown food tasted and how empowering it felt to grow it. From that moment on, I was hooked. Over the years, I've turned patches of grass, empty containers, and stubborn clay into highly productive edible landscapes.
In the beginning I had more garden failures than I can count but each failure came with a lesson and each season I had more successes. Now, I use everything I’ve learned to help you skip the trial-and-error and fast-track your way to a bountiful harvest.
My Philosophy: Edible Gardens Built for Real Life
You don't need a massive farm or 8 hours a day to grow your own food. Whether you have a sunny balcony perfect for containers, a few raised beds, or a traditional backyard plot, I believe in building vegetable gardens that fit your lifestyle.
My approach focuses on Maximizing Yield and Minimizing Stress. I focus on:
Smart Planning: Growing what you actually love to eat, timed perfectly for our local seasons.
Soil Health: Feeding the soil so it feeds your plants, naturally.
Pest & Disease Resilience: Using proactive, organic methods to keep bugs and blight at bay without harsh chemicals.
How I Can Help You Grow
From seed to table, I’m here to partner with you at any stage of your food-growing journey.
